View inventory requests
The Inventory Request page in Help Desk has many options. Based on permissions, you can:
- View your submitted requests, including details and history.
- View all submitted requests, including details and history.
- Edit requests.
- Assign and approve requests.
- Access the Request Inventory page.
- Customize your view.
To view inventory requests:
- Select Inventory > View Inventory Requests. The Inventory Request page appears.

- Do any of the following:
- To view specific requests, click the Select Saved Filter drop-down.
- To expand a request to see more detail, click
. - To see request details, history, and have options such as edit, assign, and add notes, click the ID number.
- To approve and assign a request, click
.
To navigate the request Details tab:

To see inventory details, click the hyperlink in the Name column.

To update the request budget code, quantity, or stock location, click
in the row you want to edit. -
To edit the request's building, space, room/area, description, or requested delivery date, click Edit at the bottom of the page.

To add a note:
- Enter your note.
- If you do not want an email sent, deselect the Send Email checkbox.
- To add or delete email recipients, click Change Recipients, and select who you want.
- To limit the note to admin users, select the Internal checkbox.
- To add labor:
- Click Add Labor.
- If needed, update the User and Date.
- Enter the number of Hours.
- Select the rate type: Normal, Double Time, or Time And A Half.
- Use the Purpose, Problem Type, and Budget Code drop-downs to select data.
- Enter any Notes.
- To make other changes on the request details page, click Save, otherwise click Save & Complete Inventory Request.
- To approve the request, click Approve.
- To assign a user to the request, click Assign.
- If needed, change the Stock.
Only Deduct Quantity from Stock Location: By default, when the inventory request is processed and completed, the quantity will be deducted from the corresponding stock location.
Transfer Inventory to New Stock Location: This will transfer all the inventory in the request to the selected Stock Location that was entered during the initial request.
- Select the assignee(s) from the Assign multi-select drop-down.
- Click Assign.
- If needed, change the Stock.
- To view inventory, click Inventory List.
