Search for an asset

Destiny Help Desk users with the View Assets or Edit Assets permission can search for an asset by ID or keyword in the description.

You can customize your view of this page.

To search assets:

  1. Select Assets > View All Assets or View All Assets (all fields). The appropriate page appears.

  1. In the search bar, enter an asset display name or keyword.

    Notes:

    • The Manage Assets page looks in the following fields: Asset Display Name, Building, Space, Asset Type, Make, Model, Serial Number, Asset Status, Sub System, System, Assigned Users, Barcode, Google Device ID, Active, and all custom fields.
    • The 'Manage Assets (all fields)' page looks in all available fields.
  1. Click Enter.

To search from any page:

In the top-right corner, enter an asset display name or keyword in the universal search bar.

Note: When using universal search, Help Desk looks in the following fields: Asset Display Name, Building, Space, Asset Type, Make, Model, Serial Number, Asset Status, Sub System, System, Assigned Users, Barcode, Google Device ID, Active, and all custom fields.
