Number requests by fiscal year

Destiny Help Desk users with the Manage Site Settings administrative permission can set request ID numbers to show the fiscal year.

Once set, request IDs are generated based on your district's fiscal year and increase numerically for each request.

Example: If your fiscal year is July 1 to June 30, then on July 1, 2025, the first submitted request ID will be 25-000001.

Note: The fiscal year default is July 1 to June 30. To set a different fiscal year, submit a ticket.

Important: This change is retroactive to all Request IDs currently in your system, including reports and the dashboards, and cannot be undone.

1. Select Settings > Setup Items > General Settings.
2. Click the Requests sub-tab.
3. Next to Request IDs based on Fiscal Year, use the drop-down to select Yes.
4. Click Save.
