Allow users to notify additional users

Destiny Help Desk users with the Manage Site Settings permission can let users add 'additionally notified' users to a request. The additional users will receive email notifications as the status of the request progresses, even though they did not submit the request. Email notifications are sent when:

  • The status changes to:
    • Canceled
    • On Hold
    • Completed
    • Closed
  • Any notes are added.

To allow users to notify an additional user:

  1. Select Settings > Manage Request Types. The Manage District Settings page appears.
  1. Next to Additionally Notify Permission, use the drop-down to select who can add a notification:
    • Admin Only: Users with the Assign Requests or Edit Requests permission
    • All Users
    • Hide Field
  1. Click Save.
